Bass Edge rides with a Legend in 2008

Bass Edge will be riding with a Legend in 2008. Legend Boats has signed on for as the official boat for the popular television show. Randy Qualls, president of the Arkansas-based manufacturer, points to similarities in the two organizations that make the partnership such a good match.

“We are a young company producing a quality product, and Bass Edge is a young company producing a quality product,” Qualls said. “I think we are going to grow together. We appreciate the relationship and look forward to another season.”

Bass Edge Show Host Aaron Martin not only appreciates the business relationship with Legend, but really likes his “ride.” Episodes for the 2008 season of Bass Edge television will be taped from Legend’s Alpha 211.

“The 211 is the driest boat I've ever been in, and it is the most fishable boat I've experienced,” Martin said. “You really grow to appreciate such a great boat when you spend as much time as I do in it. And it is a great looking boat. The crew has fallen in love with the matching camera boat.”

Bass Edge debuts its 2008 season on the Versus network at 7:30 a.m. EST, on Jan. 5, as part of a Saturday morning block of fishing shows. It will air again at 10:30 on Jan. 8 as part of a similar Tuesday morning block.

Martin is joined each week on the show by a top professional angler. He and his co-host share advice and information that viewers can apply to their own fishing. Sub-segments in each episode include “In the Zone,” in which sports psychologist Dr. Jay McNamara discussions the mental side of fishing. “Inside Edge” and “First Cast” offer more technical information for experienced and beginning anglers. Fans of Bass Edge also have access to an abundance of bass fishing information on the companion Web site, bassedge.com, or on “The Edge” the weekly podcast hosted by Aaron Martin and Dan Young found on iTunes.
